Children under the Music Therapy classes of Birthright had a recital at the Pilar Music Hall of Adventist University of the Philippines last March 8, 2024. Children with autism played the piano and sang songs while children with intellectual disability plated the lyre and sang in the chorus. All received specific awards named after classical musicians.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, CBR Coordinator Samuelle Marie del Rosario and Marinela Kaabay visits children with disabilities, mostly with cerebral palsy in Barangay Sucat to check if mothers are exercising their children and to also habilitate the children.

March 9 & 16, 2024


The Birthright Educators Foundation held "The Trauma of Disability in the Family" Workshops to a total of 72 parents of children with disabilities in Muntinlupa City for two consecutive Saturdays. Teacher Marlo Narag, a Birthright teacher opened the workshops with a prayer. Teacher Miriam del Rosario, the Executive Director of TBEF Inc., talked about into the family.
A case study was discussed by parents and how the trauma of having a child with disability affects the whole family.
The couples partnered to discuss their sufferings after knowing that their child has a disability. They also discussed the ramifications of disability in the family in the Filipino culture. Teacher Josie, a Birthright teacher, talked about wounded hearts of parents and compared it to physical wounds. Finally, Teacher Erleen, Teacher Iya, and other Birthright teachers facilitated the discussion of the three villages of Grieving: Village of Anger and Denial, Village of No Hope, and Village of New Beginnings, which parents can travel through in their journey through healing. Then the parents wrote in cards their heartaches and laments about their children with disabilities and brought it to the cross of Christ.

February 9, 2024

Teacher Miriam del Rosario, Birthright's Executive Director met with the officers of the organization and discussed the projects and activities they have planned. As there was no budget done, each program was assigned a budget.
The officers committed to come to Birthright on Saturdays during their children's Music Therapy class.
While their children are in the session, they will help each other in their Rag making livelihood project.

February 16 & 23, 2024

Birthright CBR Coordinator Samuelle Marie del Rosario (Chum), Executive Director Miriam del Rosario, and Marinela Kaabay worked with the PDAO Oplan Alaga for children with disabilities in Barangay Sucat. Chum checked 4 children with cerebral palsy and made basic physical assessments with two mothers. She discussed with the parents the importance of therapy and proper positioning of children with cerebral palsy to prevent bed sores.
